I am sooooooooo very excited to share with you some very amazing products that have helped me survive the past 8 weeks with baby #2. While Chloe seems to be adjusting really well, it’s still hard catering to two kids.. and it feels like they both seem to need me at the very same time! BUT, I’ve collaborated with some really wonderful companies to bring you a list of items that have made my life a lot easier, while transitioning with this new little bundle of ours..

1. The Honest Company :: There isn’t just ONE product that I love from this company.. there are MANY! I absolutely love what this brand stands for and what it has become. I’ve shared many times here on my blog, that the products I use on my family are extremely important to living a healthier lifestyle. I love that The Honest Co. provides me with safe {non-toxic} products that we can use on a daily basis. Diapers, wipes, hand sanitizer, shampoo & body wash and conditioner, are just a few of the products that we have used and LOVE.. and they all smell so incredibly yummy!

2. Covered Goods :: I just love, love, love when a product serves more than one purpose.. and requires less to pack in the diaper bag! Covered Goods is a multi-use nursing cover that also can be worn as an infinity scarf, or used as an infant carrier cover! The super-soft fabric is stretchy & breathable, and absolutely perfect for all three purposes. While we haven’t taken Capri out into the world just yet {how much longer till flu season is over?}, I have received many compliments, just by taking her to her doctor appointments. Everyone from the Pediatrician, nurses and other moms in the waiting room have asked me about this wonderful cover. It is definitely a must-have!

3. Numpfer :: There is nothing worse than putting on a fresh clean outfit, only to have your baby ‘spit-up’ the second you pick him/her up! I can’t tell you how many times that has happened to me.. only to have to lay Capri right back down and change her outfit all over again. I don’t like a soggy collared baby.. Ha! Numpfer has come to the rescue with the softest {organic} multi-use bib that I know will last me into those messy toddler years.

4. The Ollie Swaddle :: The first few weeks we were home with Capri were quite an adjustment. Her ‘awake’ time always seemed to be at 10pm.. just as I am getting ready for bed. But as she gets older, and on a better schedule, sleep has been a much better transition.. and I have to thank The Ollie Swaddle. My feisty little preemie somehow always managed to escape her arms from any other swaddle blankets we tried.. except this one. I love the soft fabric, and the elasticity allows her to move {and not be so constrained}, yet holds her in tight where she can’t escape. I love the velcro, and the twist-tie bottom allows for quick {middle of the night} diaper changes. Be sure to watch The Ollie Story {click here}.. it’s a sweet story of how The Ollie Swaddle was created.

5. Solly Baby Wrap :: Multi tasking at its finest! Capri is such a snuggler {is there anything better?} and absolutely loves when I wrap her up in my Solly Baby Wrap and wear her around the house. I can accomplish so much throughout the day.. dishes, laundry, story time with Chloe, and even while I write this blog post! Elle, the creator behind Solly Baby, has the most adorable family and is one of my favorite mamas to follow on Instagram. She created this wrap with the softest fabric and offers many beautiful colors. The Natural & Grey Stripe {which I have} is my favorite. Along with this great product, she also offers informative tutorials and shares great safety tips of baby wearing. And their packaging is pretty great too!

6. Freshly Picked :: When Chloe was a baby, she was constantly barefoot. Not by choice, but because I could never find baby shoes that stayed on her feet! Well Susan Petersen {famous for her fast growing business and seen on Shark Tank} has created the most amazing quality, soft-soled leather moccasins. There are MANY different colors and patterns to pick from, and she’s always releasing new products and designs. We have the tiny crib moccs, and while Capri still has some room to grow, I can’t wait for this fabulous footwear to become a staple in her wardrobe.

I am so very grateful to have worked with these wonderful companies, and truly believe in each and every item. And the best part? I’m giving away all these products to one lucky reader of mine! Enter below for your chance to WIN this Baby Essential Bundle!

But as many of you know, I have a serious love for gold foil prints.. something I can’t achieve with my home printer. Minted has become my favorite site for producing gold foil Holiday cards, and I knew they would be just as lovely for Capri’s Birth Announcements.

I am so excited to finally find the time to sit at my computer and write this blog post. We are absolutely in LOVE and want to introduce our new baby girl, Capri Elle. On December 29th {7 weeks early} I had to have an emergency c-section, due to placenta previa. It was a very scary and emotional turn of events, but we were so lucky that Capri was strong throughout the whole labor and delivery.

At 4 lbs. 2.3 oz. and 17 inches long, she was immediately taken to the NICU where she continued to thrive and amaze us. She was considered a ‘feeder & grower’ ..and voted ‘the most boring baby in the NICU’ by all the doctors and nurses!

Just short of three weeks old, we were able to bring her home and couldn’t be happier to have our family together as one. Chloe has been the most AMAZING big sister and is always by her side. She loves to call her ‘sweet baby girl’ and snuggle her any chance she can get. I have the best little helper and couldn’t be more proud of how well she has adjusted to sharing my attention. We are all doing great and feel incredibly BLESSED!

From my family, to yours.

I’m taking a bit of a break from my blog, to enjoy this holiday season with my family and friends, and to cherish our last Christmas as a family of three. I will be back with some exciting new posts & giveaways in the new year! Happy Holidays! Xo

And since I’ve been overly sentimental and cleaning through images on my computer, I thought I would share my most favorite picture from Chloe’s First Christmas..

My SWEET, baby girl! Xo

I am officially 30 weeks pregnant and although I feel that my belly can’t possibly get any bigger, I know it will. Thankfully, these maternity essentials have gotten me through this pregnancy since the very beginning and will take me to the end..

1. Seamless Belly Legging :: I’ve had the same pair from when I was pregnant with Chloe and absolutely LOVE these leggings! They are soft, seamless and definitely grow with your shape! I’ve worn them from the very beginning and I’ll most likely even wear them home from the hospital. They are sooooooo comfy!

2. Seamless Cami :: This is another staple piece I had from my last pregnancy. It is also seamless and will continue to grow with your belly. I especially love that it is longer and great to wear with the leggings.. and it’s great for layering!

3. GapFit Breathe Long Sleeve Tee :: This is a recent purchase of mine and I wish I would have bought it sooner. I absolutely love the super soft fabric! It also washes really well (and doesn’t shrink up to an odd shape like most of my maternity shirts).

4. UGG Scuffette Slippers :: My husband bought these for me as a Birthday gift, and they are honestly the comfiest slippers I have ever put on my feet! And because they are UGG brand, I know they will last me forever!

5. Hunter Boots :: I am a huge fan of this brand and absolutely love these wellies! They keep my feet dry, warm and are super easy to slide on and off these pregnant feet of mine. Hint: I purchased these in the kids size and paid half the price! But they are definitely worth the investment either way!

6. Coconut Oil :: Yes, I am still in love with coconut oil for all of the great health benefits. I especially love to lather it on my belly, to prevent stretch marks. I also use it for my dry, chapped hands from the constant hand washing I do throughout the day. And I continue to make my favorite recipes here and here, which have become my go-to pregnancy snacks!

This pregnancy (just as with Chloe) has truly been a blessing, and I can say again that I absolutely LOVE being pregnant. I know that the next two months are going to fly by and we will soon meet our sweet baby girl. Xo

When the gorgeous box of red sparkle {Nella in Red} arrived on our doorstep, Chloe was in awe! She religiously wore these shoes around the house all week and wouldn’t take them off. She always feels fancy when wearing anything Joyfolie {as you can see below}. And of course, loves the attention she gets whenever someone comments on her outfit or her shoes. We LOVE this brand so much, that I even displayed a few pieces as part of her room decor {see the details here}.

chocolate chip cookies

While many of you have been perfecting your recipes for Thanksgiving, I’ve been working on the perfect chocolate chip cookie recipe {to snack on while I prepare my Thanksgiving side dishes.. this and this}. As I enter my third trimester of pregnancy, I have a serious sweet tooth! A chocolate chip cookie and a big glass of milk has become my nighttime snack ritual. I’ve made these on almost a weekly basis, trying several different versions & using various ingredients. But I think I have finally found the PERFECT combination! The secret? Coconut oil and sea salt!

And I’m claiming these as “healthy” since my research of coconut oil and the amazing health benefits it includes.. Ha!

baby-girl-nursery2 I am 27 weeks pregnant today.. {almost to my third trimester} Yay! It wasn’t until this past weekend, that I had any idea what I wanted to do with the nursery. When I was pregnant with Chloe, our style of furniture was completely different than today, and we went with a black nursery set {crib and changing table}. I would love to have a white set now, but it just makes more sense to use the perfect condition pieces we already have.

As I’ve shared before, I have a LOVE for gold, and wanted to incorporate it into the nursery as accent pieces. As soon as I found the beautiful artwork by Lindsay Letters, I knew it would fit the room perfectly. We haven’t decided if we want to paint the walls white or light grey, but I do know that much of the decor will be soft pink and white.. a very similar color scheme of Chloe’s ‘big-girl’ bedroom I love so much!

I can’t wait to get started and share with you all the details and sources that we went with. We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our baby girl and cherishing EVERY moment where Chloe is our one and only. This will be a very special holiday season.. our last Christmas as a family of three. Xo

brewers organic_1

I am so excited to share with you this great {local} service that provides you with organic fruits, vegetables & other grocery options delivered right to your doorstep.. Brewers Organics! I have always been very cautious with what my family consumes, but the quality of organic produce just didn’t meet my expectations when shopping at the grocery store. I stumbled upon Brewers Organics when a friend of mine “liked” them on Facebook. I did some research, and after reviewing the box options, I was excited to get started.

I chose the Standard Box option and anxiously awaited for my delivery. On Saturday morning, I received an email with what my box would contain. I had the option to substitute anything I didn’t like and add anything extra that I wanted. On Wednesday morning, this lovely box appeared on my doorstep and was filled with the most fresh & high quality produce I have ever seen {or tasted}..

brewers organic_2

The Standard Box included:

  • 1 bunch celery
  • 1 lb. carrots
  • 1 lb. russet potatoes
  • 1 red onion
  • 1/2 lb. green beans
  • 3 granny smith apples
  • 2 avocados
  • 3 pluots
  • 2 bosc pears
  • 3 kiwi
  • 2 roma tomatoes
  • 3 bananas

brewers organic_3

I quickly began brainstorming meal ideas, and was excited to put these ingredients to use! The first night, we had the green beans steamed on the side of chicken breasts. The next night, I made fresh guacamole with the avocado, red onion & tomatoes {to go with our tacos}. Then the following night, I made a delicious potato chowder with the potatoes, celery, carrots & remaining red onion. The fruits were quickly consumed throughout the week as healthy snack options.

After receiving two deliveries, I decided to change my subscription to every other week.. BUT, after a week without it, I completely regretted it! I now have my deliveries set weekly, and look forward to receiving nothing but fresh, organic fruits and vegetables that my family can enjoy. I’ve even tried the all natural, free range 95% extra lean ground chuck and loved it! I’ll be adding the cage free eggs to my next order, and LOVE the challenge of coming up with healthy and nutritious meals for my family.

To get started with healthier food options of your own, Brewers Organics is offering my readers a great discount: $15 off your first box with the code CREATIVEBUZZ {offer expires 3.30.15}

One of our favorite things to do is read books! I’ll often find Chloe sitting on the floor or snuggled in her bed surrounded by books. She LOVES to read to us each night, and pretty much has every book she owns memorized by sight.. it is pretty impressive! I also love to give books as gifts. Tickle Monster is my favorite, because I know it’s a book kids won’t grow out of too quickly. Here are a list of our top favorite books..

1. Cloudette 2. Miss Lina’s Ballerina’s 3. Fairy Birds 4. Cupcake 5. Tickle Monster 6. The Princess and the Pig
